I’m on a short vacation, walking the Camino de Santiago.
Each morning, beneath the stars and the lingering darkness, I move step by step across the vast open land, asking myself where I’m headed and why I’ve chosen this path.
Along the way, I meet strangers who later reappear at an albergue, and together we share a simple yet satisfying dinner.
There’s a quiet joy in those moments that words can hardly capture.

짧은 휴가를 내어 산티아고 순례길(Camino de Santiago)에 올랐다.
매일 새벽, 머리 위로 쏟아질 듯 빛나는 별빛과 짙게 깔린 어둠 속에서 하루를 시작한다. 끝없이 펼쳐진 광활한 대지 위를 오직 내 발걸음 소리에 의지해 한 걸음씩 나아가며 스스로에게 끊임없이 질문을 던진다.
“나는 지금 어디를 향해 가고 있는가, 그리고 왜 이 길을 선택했는가.”
길 위를 걷다 스쳐 지나갔던 낯선 순례자들은 오후가 되면 작은 마을의 알베르게(Albergue)에서 거짓말처럼 다시 마주친다. 서로 다른 언어와 배경을 가진 이들이 한자리에 둘러앉아 나누는 소박하지만 더없이 따뜻한 저녁 식사.
그 찰나의 순간들에 깃든 고요하고도 벅찬 기쁨은 어떤 유려한 문장으로도 온전히 담아내기 어렵다.
